Job summary

ABM at The Dolphin Centre in Poole is seeking an on-site Security Officer to support the site operations and control room duties, ensuring safety for customers, buildings and personnel.

You will assist in delivering the required service levels, maintain health and safety compliance, and work closely with Centre Management and the Security Supervisor within a 4 on 4 off, 42-hour week schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the security industry.
• SIA Security Licence – SG or DS is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
• Willingness and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Proactive approach to learning in the role and identifying training needs.
• Can-do attitude and strong observational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operationally support delivery of the agreed service level.
• Foster team spirit and cooperation; encourage open ideas and resolutions.
• Support in the delivery of SOPs and maintain documentation for the security team.
• Assist in maintaining Health & Safety compliance.
• Promote a safe working environment through safety actions.
• Complete incident reports with focus on quality and timeliness.
• Handle complaints professionally and promptly.
• Maintain relationships with colleagues and client staff.
• Ensure security equipment is operational and reported any issues.
• Liaise with Centre Management and Security Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as dictated by circumstances.
