Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you\'ll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. This isn\'t just a security role, it\'s a role for people who stay calm under pressure, lead with professionalism and take pride in delivering great service while protecting our stores, people and products. We\'re looking for confident, customer-focused individuals who can combine strong awareness with a warm and approachable attitude. You\'ll be a visible presence in store, helping customers feel supported while playing an important role in keeping the business safe and secure.

• Customer service is at the heart of the role. You\'ll create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers as they start shopping with us, while delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• You\'ll help keep our stores safe and secure. From preventing loss and responding to incidents, to identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working, you\'ll play a key role in protecting the M&S environment.
• Being digitally confident is essential. You\'ll use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• You\'ll stay calm under pressure. Whether responding to challenging situations or supporting emergency procedures, you\'ll always act professionally and confidently.
• Being a team player is crucial. You\'ll work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Flexibility is vital. Retail moves fast and every day is different. You\'ll adapt quickly to changing situations to support the store when needed. Previous security experience is preferred
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential
