Job summary

Marks & Spencer in Norwich is seeking a Retail Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for customers and colleagues. This role is more than security; it requires calm under pressure, professional conduct, and pride in delivering great service while protecting store assets.

You'll be a visible presence in store, using store technology and reporting systems, supporting incident management, loss prevention and safe ways of working.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.

Location: Norwich

Salary - £13.96 per hour

Guaranteed 40+ hours per week

We're looking for confident, customer-focused individuals who can combine strong awareness with a warm and approachable attitude. You'll be a visible presence in store, helping customers feel supported while playing an important role in keeping the business safe and secure.

• Customer service is at the heart of the role. You'll create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers as they start shopping with us, while delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.

• Being digitally confident is essential. You'll use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body‑worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
