Job summary

Magna International in Telford is seeking a Site Security Officer to create a secure environment for customers, employees and visitors. You will respond to incidents, follow risk assessments, and operate on a planned rota to provide reliable security coverage.

The role requires a valid SIA licence and offers training, uniform provision, and access to wellbeing and support programmes. Working hours include shift patterns aimed at maintaining safety and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Site Security Officer and maintain a secure environment for customers, employees and visitors.
• Promote confidence through professional security standards and effective communication.
• Follow Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and customer policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and events, escalating to Emergency Services, the Customer and the Security Operations Centre as appropriate.
• Complete planned rota and shifts to provide security cover.
• Utilise security systems to detect risks and breaches and report incidents via TRACKTIK.
• Promote a culture of safety and incident reporting.

About The Role

What will you be doing?

Security Officer at Magna International in Telford

• Working as the Site Security Officer
• Create a secure environment, in which our customers, their employees, and visitors are able to feel safe
• Promote confidence with every customer, colleague, and stakeholder through effective decision-making, communication, and professional security standards
• Follow Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and customer policy
• Respond in an effective manner to incidents, alarms, and events, escalating to the Emergency Services, the Customer, and the Security Operations Centre, as appropriate
• Complete planned rota and shifts to provide security cover
• Utilise the relevant site security systems to detect risks and potential security breaches.
• Utilise TRACKTIK to complete patrols and reporting of incidents.
• Promote a culture of safety, awareness of H&S risks, and accident/ near miss reporting.
• Prevent unauthorised access to site, whether by a person, vehicle, or object.
• Respond to unplanned events or incidences promptly
• Work in collaboration with the customer’s FM team and complete relevant tasks
• Engage with training & development as required
