Job summary

Join Mitie as a Security Officer at our Broughton, Chester site. You will protect property, people and assets under site Assignment Instructions, meet KPIs and SLA targets, and take part in ongoing training and development. A British national with UK residence for 5 years and BPSS/CTC clearance is required. Driving licence and proactivity are essential.

• SIA Licence: Valid Security Industry Authority licence.
• Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
• Must be willing and able to achieve CTC Clearance.
• Driving Licence: Full valid UK manual driving licence (site subject to road laws).
• Proactive & Detail-Oriented: Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent organisational, customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Protect Intellectual Property: Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Maintain Site Security: Perform daily tasks to keep the site secure and compliant with client expectations.
• Access Control: Manage access points, including staff and vehicle searches.
• Patrols & Monitoring: Conduct building patrols and monitor security alarm panels.
• Emergency Response: Act swiftly and efficiently to manage risk events.
• Wing Escort Duties: Prevent traffic blockages and unauthorised access.
• Drug & Alcohol Testing: Conduct adhoc testing to ensure a safe work environment.
• IEC responsibilities may be assigned as mandatory if volunteers are insufficient

Pay: £13.45 - £13.79 per hour

Hours

Resilience - Guaranteed 42 hours per week (covering days, nights and weekends)

Monday to Friday, rotating shift pattern: one week of early shifts (5:00am – 1:30pm), followed by one week of late shifts (12:30pm – 9:00pm)
