Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a Security Officer for HMPPS Newbold Revel in Rugby. You will ensure the safety and security of the building and people inside, welcoming staff, visitors and contractors while strictly following security protocols.

The role involves monitoring CCTV and access control, responding to incidents, and conducting regular patrols. Must be 18+, hold a valid SIA license, and obtain DBS clearance. 52 hours per week with shifts 18:00–07:00, Monday to Thursday; pay is £14.11 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and hold a valid SIA license.
• Full DBS clearance required.
• Experience in a security role preferred.
• Excellent communication and situational awareness.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist staff, visitors and contractors while following security protocols.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for building users.

• Act as first line of response to security incidents and fault reports.

What You Bring:

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities.
• Must be 18 or older and hold a valid SIA License.
• Excellent communication and situational awareness.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Due to the nature of the site, a full DBS clearance is required.
