Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Security Officer for Puriton. You’ll protect staff, property, and information, while delivering excellent customer service on site. The role requires a valid SIA licence, English communication skills, and flexibility for days, nights, and weekends.

• Provide security service at the site following Assignment Instructions and customer requirements.

• Deliver high levels of customer service and act as a professional ambassador for Securitas UK.
• Report incidents and maintain accurate records of activity and handovers.

We’re Hiring: Security officer

Location: Puriton

Pay: £14.58

Hours: 42 hours 4 on and 4 off, 12 hours shift , days, nights and weekends

To provide a security service at the working location in line with the Assignment Instructions and customer requirements, the Security Officer will protect the customer's employees, property, and other assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The Security Officer will deliver the highest levels of customer service, consistently demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. The Security Officer will act as a professional ambassador for Securitas at all times. (NB: the prospective Security Officer must have acquired the full SIA licence before being able to start work on operational shifts).

Responsibilities

Job Description

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conducting regular safety and security patrols.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.
• Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
• Accurately maintaining records of all activity and handovers.

Security & Site Protection

• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and site access.
• Conduct security patrols.
• Manage keys, access passes, and lost property.
• Enforce traffic and parking rules.
• Maintain equipment and records.

Health & Safety

• Support staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Follow and promote health & safety procedures.
• Report hazards, faults, and incidents.
• Keep emergency routes clear.
• Respond to emergencies and fire alarms.
• Monitor and report First Aid equipment usage.
