Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, is hiring a Security Officer for a modern manufacturing site in Newton Aycliffe. You will safeguard staff, buildings and assets while delivering excellent customer service.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00, with a starting pay of £13.45 per hour (Real Living Wage) and a progression path to £14.25 per hour after training. Candidates must hold an SIA licence and have lived in the UK for more than five years.

Security Officer working within a modern manufacturing plant in Newton Aycliffe.

We are looking for security personnel who are passionate about creating a safe and secure environment and demonstrate honesty and integrity all whilst delivering customer service to the highest level. You will be required to carry out duties in a busy environment.

As you settle into the role, we'll provide you with a clear, step-by-step Training Matrix. Every time you master a new skill and get it signed off, you move closer to our fully trained rate. Complete your training and be signed off and your pay will rise to £14.25 per hour. Your progression is entirely in your own hands!

Candidates must hold an SIA Licence and have lived in the UK more than 5 years.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer, you will be ensuring the safety of our customers' staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile.

Your duties will include:

• - Greeting staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• - Chaperoning vendors in highly secure areas
• - Ensuring everyone follows the security and safety protocols of the site
• - Conducting searches when required
• - Patrolling of the premises - both inside and outside
• - Dealing with any security incidents on site and completing relevant incident report forms
• - Excellent communication skills as you will be liasing with both the security supervisor and the client.

It is crucial to have great communication and customer service skills. All our admin is digital and paperless, so you'll need to be tech-savvy enough to use our digital devices.

Our perfect Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to always provide a friendly and professional service. You'll be in safe hands from our induction and on-site training to regular reviews and welfare checks with our managers.
