Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Security Officer in an outdoor site setting. You will help protect people and property, monitor alarms and CCTV, and perform patrols across shifts in a busy, outdoor environment.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork, with comprehensive training and opportunities for progression. A valid SIA licence and a UK work right are required.

Qualifications

• SIA licence required to perform security duties.
• Must be physically able to patrol and duties as assigned.
• Must have clear and professional communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
• Monitor fire and intruder alarms and CCTV.
• Conduct external/internal security patrols.
• Provide traffic control and manage parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment and manage keys.
• Prepare logs and Passes and handle lost property as needed.

Pay: £14.30 per hour
Hours: 52.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 0530-1600 - Outdoor environment – directing people and traffic, while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
• Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions. Health and Safety
• To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractor

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• A valid SIA licence.
• Physically fit to patrol the site.
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
