Job summary

B&M Retail in Churchill is seeking a confident and professional Retail Security Officer to safeguard the store during the Christmas period. You’ll help protect people, products and the store environment while delivering a welcoming customer experience.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts. You’ll work closely with the Store Management Team to prevent loss, manage risk and maintain high safety standards.

• Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents
• Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies
• Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures
• Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud
• Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively

In this role, you’ll be trusted with responsibility and play a vital role in safeguarding the store. Working closely with the Store Management Team, you’ll help prevent loss, manage risk and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ability to follow procedures and remain composed in challenging situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence handling difficult conversations in a professional manner
• Sound judgement, honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic
• A supportive team player who takes pride in doing the right thing
