Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Security Officer to protect people and property at our Manchester site. You will be part of a dedicated team, carrying out patrols, searches, and incident reporting with a focus on safety and service excellence.

The role offers comprehensive training, flexible shifts, and progression opportunities within a trusted security provider. A valid SIA licence and willingness to work varied hours are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence is required.
• Experience using TrackTik preferred.
• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred due to shift times.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year history.

Responsibilities

• Conduct active patrols to deter and detect incidents.
• Perform thorough searches and maintain security of restricted areas.
• Keep detailed records and complete incident paperwork.
• Coordinate with colleagues and external authorities as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

We're Hiring: Security Officer!

Location: Manchester, UK

Pay: £13.10 per hour.

Hours: Saturday & Sunday 09:00 - 21:00, Monday to Wednesday17:00 - 01:00.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred due to the shift times. However, if you can reliably arrange transport home at 1:00 am without a car, you are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

You'll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Active Patrols: Regularly patrol designated areas to detect and deter suspicious activity. Your vigilance will ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone
• Thorough Searches: Conduct detailed searches, following our comprehensive company policies and procedures. Your meticulous attention to detail will help keep our restricted areas safe
• Detailed Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork related to security incidents and observations
• Effective Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and various external authorities to report incidents and coordinate responses to security issues
• Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to employees, visitors, and guests with professionalism and courtesy

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

• A valid SIA licence
• Must be comfortable using computers, with experience using TrackTik preferred.
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred due to the shift times. However, if you can reliably arrange transport home at 1:00 am without a car, that is absolutely fine.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Good communication skills in English-both written and spoken.
