Job summary

B&M Retail in Cheltenham is hiring a Retail Security Officer. This full-time, permanent role covers daytime, evening and weekend shifts, with responsibilities including loss prevention, CCTV operation, and safeguarding customers and staff.

You will work closely with the Store Management Team to uphold safety standards, report incidents, and maintain a welcoming, secure store environment. Equal opportunities employer.

Are you a confident and professional Retail Security Officer? Do you enjoy safeguarding people, products, and store environments while delivering a welcoming customer experience?

Join our team in Cheltenham and make a real difference!

In this role, you’ll be trusted with responsibility and play a vital role in safeguarding the store. Working closely with the Store Management Team, you’ll help prevent loss, manage risk and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being an integral part of the store team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents
• Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies
• Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures
• Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud
• Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively
