Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a security officer to help safeguard people, property, and information at our site in the United Kingdom. The role includes monitoring alarms, conducting patrols, and assisting visitors and staff with security-related needs.

Ideal candidates hold a valid SIA licence, have UK work rights, and can commit to weekend shifts. Strong communication in English and a reliable, punctual attitude are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history is required.
• Ability to work weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prevent unauthorised access to the site and monitor alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Carry out external and internal security patrols as detailed in instructions.
• Test security equipment and carry out routine checks as necessary.
• Manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties as required.
• Maintain logs and records in the prescribed format.
• Issue visitor and contractor passes according to Instructions.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• A valid SIA licence

• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Punctual and reliable
• Able to work weekends
• British nationality and UK residency for the past 5 years (due to site requirements)
