Job summary

Ward Security is seeking a Security Manager to lead operations at a high-profile corporate building in Victoria, London. You will direct a large on-site security team, shape security strategy and foster strong client relationships in a fast-paced, prestigious setting above a major transport hub.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Lead and manage a large on-site security team with high standards of performance.
• Security Strategy and Risk Management: Develop and implement security procedures and mitigate risks.
• Client and Stakeholder Relationships: Build partnerships with clients, tenants and authorities.
• Meetings and Communication: Chair stakeholder and security meetings; ensure clear communication.
• Team Development: Oversee training and performance, ensure SIA compliance.
• Security Systems and Documentation: Manage CCTV operations and site documentation.
• Emergency and Crisis Management: Lead emergency response and continuity planning.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote accountability and professionalism across the team.

Ward Security is looking for a dynamic and experienced Security Manager to lead operations at a prominent corporate development in Victoria, Central London. The building features a striking refurbished reception, an impressive triple-height atrium and a dedicated Sky Lobby with a café and business lounge. Located directly above one of London's busiest transport hubs, it provides a vibrant and fast-paced working environment. You'll take responsibility for leading a large on-site security team, providing strategic direction and building strong relationships with clients, occupiers and key stakeholders.

Location: London, SW1W 0SR
Nearest tube: Victoria
Pay Rate: £19.90 Per Hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00
Requirement: SIA Licence, including CCTV Licence, and full driving licence

About the Role

As Security Manager, you'll take ownership of the site's security operation, providing both strategic and operational leadership to ensure the safety of people, property and assets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operational Leadership: Lead and manage a large on-site security team, setting clear expectations and maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism.
• Security Strategy and Risk Management: Develop and implement tailored security procedures, proactively identify potential threats and put effective measures in place to manage risks.
• Client and Stakeholder Relationships: Build trusted partnerships with clients, tenants, local authorities, emergency services and other external organisations.
• Meetings and Communication: Chair and contribute to stakeholder and security meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Team Development: Oversee officer training, development and performance, ensuring compliance with SIA requirements and site procedures.
• Security Systems and Documentation: Manage security equipment, accountability processes and site documentation, including CCTV operations and data release.
• Emergency and Crisis Management: Lead emergency response and crisis management procedures to maintain safety and minimise disruption.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement throughout the team.

What we're looking for?

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience as a security professional, with strong leadership and management skills.
• A valid SIA Licence, with an SIA CCTV Licence essential.
• A full driving licence.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with technical security systems, including CCTV and access control.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels.
• Strong strategic thinking, risk management and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive and motivated approach, with a commitment to high standards of service and compliance.
• A genuine passion for developing teams and delivering excellent client satisfaction.
