Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Project Manager to lead security and access control installations across national sites, coordinating teams, programs, and QA processes. The role requires coordinating with clients and contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds relevant site safety qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS) and a UK driving license, with experience in security infrastructure and liaison with utility clients.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification required.
• Emergency First Aid at Work required.
• CSCS card required.
• Level 1 Health & Safety on a Construction Site preferred.
• National Grid competency or experience advantageous.
• SHEA Gas qualification advantageous.
• Valid UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage perimeter security installations on National Grid & related sites.
• Lead and coordinate multisite project teams of operatives.
• Produce construction programmes and weekly progress meetings with principal contractor.
• Order plant and materials for each site and manage documents for QA.
• Prepare SHEQ docs: risk assessments, method statements, project plans and test certificates.
• Ensure installations meet technical specs and SSOR requirements.
• Liaise with client and principal contractor to deliver safely and cost-effectively.
• Plan projects with appropriate site competencies and resources.
• Respond to technical queries and onsite issues.
• Create red-lined drawings for client/contractor review.
• Prepare quotations and tenders.
