Job summary

The Job People Limited on behalf of our client in Alfreton, Derbyshire, is seeking an experienced Static Security Guard to protect a site and manage access control. You will welcome staff and visitors, monitor vehicle movements, and respond to security incidents in a professional manner.

The role requires strong communication, prior security experience, and an active SIA licence. Shifts run 2.30pm–11:15pm Monday-Thursday and 1pm–8:15pm Fridays, with weekly pay and a rate of £13.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in gatehouse/security operations at a site.
• Strong communication with staff and visitors.
• SIA licence held and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the site from the gatehouse.
• Monitor visitor and vehicle movements and log details.
• Respond to incidents and maintain security standards.
• Issue and receive fobs; operate CCTV and radios.
• Lock up and secure the building at shift end.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client in

Alfreton, Derbyshire for an experienced

Static Security Guard.

Working from the gatehouse, you will be responsible for controlling access to the site, monitoring visitor and vehicle movements, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises at all times.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional individual with strong communication skills, previous security experience, and a valid

SIA licence. As the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, you will be expected to provide a courteous and professional service while maintaining strict security standards.

£13.71 per hour - Weekly Pay

2.30pm to 11:15pm Monday to Thursday - 1pm to 8:15pm Fridays

Duties involve for a Static Security Guard

• Working in a security hut, responsible for allowing people in and out of the building
• Meeting and greeting staff and visitors
• Using a radio to communicate with the drivers on the yard to instruct them where to collect or pick up their load
• Issuing and receiving fobs
• Using security cameras
• Will be the last person to lock lock up and close the building

Experience required for a Static Security Guard

• Ideally looking for someone with SIA qualification
• Previous gatehouse / security work a distinct advantage
• Good communication skills and basic administration skills required
