Job summary

The Job People Limited is recruiting a Static Security Guard in Alfreton, Derbyshire for a prestige client. Based at the gatehouse, you will control access, monitor movements and help maintain a safe, secure environment.

A valid SIA licence is required, and you will be the first point of contact for staff, visitors and contractors, delivering courteous and professional service while upholding security standards.

Qualifications

• SIA licence preferred.
• Experience in security or gatehouse roles.

Responsibilities

• Operate from a security hut/gatehouse and manage access to the site.
• Greet staff and visitors and direct them as required.
• Use radio to communicate with yard drivers for load collection or drop-off.
• Issue and receive security fobs and monitor CCTV.
• Lock up and secure the building at end of shift.

Security Guard

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client in Alfreton, Derbyshire for an experienced Static Security Guard.

Working from the gatehouse, you will be responsible for controlling access to the site, monitoring visitor and vehicle movements, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises at all times.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional individual with strong communication skills, previous security experience, and a valid SIA licence. As the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, you will be expected to provide a courteous and professional service while maintaining strict security standards.

£13.71 per hour - Weekly Pay

2.30pm to 11:15pm Monday to Thursday - 1pm to 8:15pm Fridays

Duties

• Working in a security hut, responsible for allowing people in and out of the building
• Meeting and greeting staff and visitors
• Using a radio to communicate with the drivers on the yard to instruct them where to collect or pick up their load
• Issuing and receiving fobs
• Using security cameras
• Will be the last person to lock lock up and close the building

Requirements

• Ideally looking for someone with SIA qualification
• Previous gatehouse / security work a distinct advantage
• Good communication skills and basic administration skills required

Afternoon shift - Monday to Thursday 2.30pm to 11:15pm - Friday 1pm to 8:15pm

£13.71 per hour - weekly pay
