Job summary

Bents Garden & Home in the Warrington area is recruiting three Security Guards to join our security team. You will help protect our premises, colleagues and customers with a professional, approachable presence across the site.

The role offers 30 hours per week on a rota including evenings and weekends, with a permanent position and a pay rate up to £12.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Retail security experience is desirable.
• Excellent observation and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for three Security Guards to join our Security team at Bents!

What's the role?

We are looking for three Security Guards to join our Security Team. This is an ideal role for someone who is reliable, observant, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

You will play a key role in protecting our premises, colleagues, and customers while delivering a professional and approachable presence across the site.

Your daily role will include;

• Monitoring site access and egress points
• Conducting regular patrols across the premises
• Responding to incidents and emergencies in a calm and effective manner
• Ensuring the safety and security of colleagues, customers, and visitors
• Monitoring CCTV systems and reporting any suspicious activity
• Supporting with opening and closing procedures
• Liaising with colleagues and emergency services where required

Our ideal Security Guard will have the below skills and experience;

• Previous experience in a security role within retail is desirable
• Excellent observation and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• A proactive and responsible approach to work
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
• Basic IT skills for reporting and monitoring systems

Other details of the Security Guard role;

• The role available is for 30 hours per week.
• Shifts will work on a rota basis covering the days Mondayto Sunday. Please note each rota thiswill include working alternateweekends. A flexible approach is required as the shifts include working evenings, weekends and with notice shift swaps of nights shifts.
• The role is on a permanent basis.
• The role offers up to £12.90 per hour.
