Position Summary

The Cary Institute is seeking a reliable and vigilant Full-Time Security Guard for the 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM shift, Monday through Friday. The guard will be responsible for securing Institute buildings and grounds, monitoring mechanical systems, and ensuring all visitors comply with established access policies.

1. Perform routine checks of all Institute buildings to ensure security.
2. Confirm that heating and other mechanical systems are functioning properly.
3. Patrol Cary Institute roadways during assigned hours.
4. Approach and engage visitors when necessary to enforce access policies.
5. Complete a detailed written security report at the end of each shift.
