Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in coding in Java.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as continuous integration/continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
• Knowledge of security applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and development of scalable security systems using Java and Python.
• Execute security software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with emphasis on quality and performance.
• Create secure production code and maintain algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for security applications ensuring design constraints.
• Gather and analyze data, develop visualizations and reporting for continuous security improvements.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to security engineering communities of practice and events.
