Job summary

Kyowa Kirin International plc is seeking an IT Security Engineer in Marlow to enhance and defend our enterprise network, data centre, and cloud environments. You will work with infrastructure and security teams to reduce cyber risk, improve resilience, and respond to evolving threats.

The role requires 3–5 years in security or infrastructure engineering, strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management, plus experience with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in Security Engineering, Network Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, networking, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.
• Experience securing enterprise infrastructure and virtualised environments.
• Understanding of cyber attack techniques and defensive controls.
• Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS is desirable.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.
• A proactive problem-solver with a security-first mindset and strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise security controls across network and cloud environments.
• Manage and improve firewall, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Identify security weaknesses and drive remediation activities.
• Support incident response and security investigations.
• Improve infrastructure logging, monitoring, and threat detection capabilities.
• Partner with global teams to strengthen security standards and best practices.
