Job summary

YourRecruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our Engineering team, owning network and device security across internal and customer networks. You will investigate incidents, implement security controls, and drive security posture improvements.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Cisco and Juniper devices, SIEM/IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and the ability to communicate technical risk to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on network security experience across complex environments.
• Experience with security tools and standards (ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Ability to investigate and resolve security incidents and provide practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions across networks and devices.
• Monitor security tools and investigate events and incidents.
• Support and maintain SIEM, IDS/IPS and vulnerability management solutions.
• Carry out penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Provide third-line support for network security issues.
• Develop and maintain security policies and guidelines.
• Produce technical documentation and support guides.
• Advise on cybersecurity risks to colleagues and customers.
• Work with IT and Engineering to keep networks secure.
• Drive incident management to resolution.
