Fire and Security Installation Engineer Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Installation Engineer to deliver high-quality contracts to a range of commercial clients. The successful candidate will join their team in Cardiff and cover works on a nationwide basis.

Responsibilities

1. Installing and configuring equipment such as fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, security cameras, and access control panels.
2. Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and tests on fire and security systems.
3. Troubleshooting system issues and performing repairs or replacements as needed.
4. Interacting with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance on system usage.
5. Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes.

Requirements

• Knowledge and training in security systems including Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom, Bosch, Hikvision (desirable).
• Experience in installation, commissioning, and repair of intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and audio/door entry systems, including service visits.
• Proven ability to manage projects through the entire lifecycle, including scope management, drawings, installation, testing, commissioning, and client handover.
• Ability to produce high-quality commissioning and handover documentation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, adhering to British, NSI (NACOSS), and BAFE standards.
• Valid ECS Card; IPAF and PASMA certifications are preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Full UK driving license.
