Job description

EMCOR UK is recruiting for a permanent mobile Fire and Security Engineer to cover South M25 and surrounding areas. The role includes a company van (business use only) or a car (business & private use) with a fuel card provided.

Location: Mobile (preferably within South M25)
Hours: 40 per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, with 1-hour lunch; overtime paid at x1.5 from Monday to Sunday

Role Overview

Support on-site engineers and clients by carrying out system maintenance, reactive and small or additional works on CCTV, access control, security systems, and fire systems for internal and external clients. A multi-disciplined background in Fire and Security is preferred, with experience working with large commercial clients and various manufacturers. The role involves working with Blue-Chip clients in Surrey and nearby areas.

What you will do:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities
• Perform upgrades and system repairs
• Make modifications according to contract requirements
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding KPIs and SLAs
• Provide maintenance, repairs, small works, and system commissioning as per client requests
• Prepare dilapidation reports for new contracts and suggest improvements
• Support design, support, and quotation activities adhering to British Standards
• Maintain strong communication between the client and EMCOR UK

What you will need:

• At least 2 years of experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, intercoms, and fire systems
• Multi-disciplined engineer or a strong engineer willing to cross-train
• Knowledge of British Standards, NSI, LPCB standards; advanced diagnostic skills
• Experience with permits, method statements, and risk assessments
• Strong PC and LAN/WAN networking skills; OS-level operation
• System design, surveying, estimating, and quoting experience
• Ability to plan and deliver work within deadlines
• Understanding asset management and reactive work SLAs

Role includes on-call duty (1 in 4), with standby pay (£125/week), and callout pay at time-and-a-half for a minimum of 4 hours or total time including travel.
