Job summary

Wilson James is seeking an experienced Security Control Room Supervisor to join our team at one of our clients in West London. This role provides operational leadership within a 24-hour security environment, overseeing control room operations and coordinating security resources to safeguard visitors, staff, contractors, and assets.

You will manage a team, monitor CCTV, respond to alarms, and lead incident responses while maintaining rigorous log records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licences and First Aid at Work qualification.
• Experience supervising or leading teams in a security control room.
• Strong CCTV monitoring and incident management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; report writing.
• Calm under pressure with good decision making.
• Strong customer service and professional visitor experience.
• Competent IT skills with reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of Security Officers, ensuring duties align with site procedures.
• Manage daily staff deployment, patrol schedules, static posts, and break rotations.
• Monitor CCTV to prevent and detect crime, incidents, and breaches.
• Respond to alarms, panic alarms, and access control alerts.
• Coordinate responses to incidents including medical emergencies and evacuations.
• Maintain accurate control room records and incident logs.
• Oversee key management and controlled assets.
• Verify contractor permits and oversee access control processes.
• Coordinate staffing levels and shift handovers.
• Conduct system checks and liaise with contractors for compliance.

Hours: Full time, 42 hours a week, 4 on, 4 off, days 07:00 - 19:00 and nights 19:00 - 07:00
Pay: £15.92 ph

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Security Control Room Supervisor to join our team at one of our clients in West London. This is an exciting opportunity for a security professional with strong leadership, CCTV, and incident management experience to play a key role in safeguarding one of the UK's most iconic cultural institutions.

As the Security Control Room Supervisor, you will provide operational leadership within a 24-hour security environment, overseeing control room operations, managing incidents, coordinating security resources, and ensuring the safety of visitors, staff, contractors, collections, and assets.

About the Role:

• Supervise and lead a team of Security Officers, ensuring all duties are carried out in line with site procedures and operational standards.
• Manage daily staff deployment, patrol schedules, static posts, and break rotations to maintain effective site coverage.
• Monitor CCTV systems to prevent and detect crime, incidents, and security breaches.
• Respond to fire alarms, panic alarms, access control alerts, and other security system activations.
• Lead and coordinate responses to incidents including medical emergencies, lost children, evacuations, and security breaches.
• Maintain accurate control room records, incident logs, Daily Occurrence Books, and Situation Reports.
• Manage the issue, tracking, and auditing of keys, fobs, and controlled assets through key management systems.
• Verify contractor permits and oversee access control processes across the site.
• Coordinate staffing levels, cover absences, support rota management, and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Conduct system checks, monitor site faults, liaise with contractors, and ensure operational compliance across all security systems.

What we are looking for:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Valid SIA CCTV Licence.
• Current First Aid at Work qualification.
• Previous experience supervising or leading teams within a security control room environment.
• Strong CCTV monitoring and incident management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate reports.
• Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and make effective decisions during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
• Strong customer service skills with a commitment to delivering a professional visitor experience.
• Competent IT skills, including experience using reporting, communication, and security management systems.
• Reliable, professional, and able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
