MAC Recruit Group Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Security Consultant to turn complex security challenges into practical improvements. You will deliver security assessments, advisory engagements and executive reports, working with SOC engineers to ground recommendations in real-world threats.

Qualifications

• Experience in a client-facing cyber security, security consultancy or security operations role.
• Solid understanding of security principles, frameworks and standards.
• Experience conducting security assessments and translating findings into practical recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including engaging senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security assessments and gap analyses.
• Develop practical, prioritised security improvement plans and executive reports.
• Support vCISO engagements, security strategy and policy development.
• Design and facilitate security workshops and tabletop exercises.
• Advise on security tooling, implementation and capability improvement.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Work alongside SOC and engineering teams to translate threat intelligence into actionable advice.
• Contribute to the development of consulting services, methodologies and delivery standards.
