MAC Recruit Group Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Security Consultant to turn complex security challenges into practical improvements. You will deliver security assessments, advisory engagements and executive reports, working with SOC engineers to ground recommendations in real-world threats.

This role offers a collaborative, engineering-led environment with a training budget, private health insurance, pension and EV scheme.

Formación

• Experience in a client-facing cyber security, security consultancy or security operations role.
• Solid understanding of security principles, frameworks and standards.
• Experience conducting security assessments and translating findings into practical recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including engaging senior stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver security assessments and gap analyses.
• Develop practical, prioritised security improvement plans and executive reports.
• Support vCISO engagements, security strategy and policy development.
• Design and facilitate security workshops and tabletop exercises.
• Advise on security tooling, implementation and capability improvement.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Work alongside SOC and engineering teams to translate threat intelligence into actionable advice.
• Contribute to the development of consulting services, methodologies and delivery standards.

We're looking for a Security Consultant who can turn complex security challenges into clear, practical improvements.

You'll work directly with clients across different sectors, delivering security assessments, advisory engagements and improvement roadmaps. You'll also work closely with experienced security consultants and SOC engineers to ensure recommendations are grounded in real-world threats and technical evidence.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of client engagements, broaden your technical and advisory experience, and help shape the growth of a security consulting function.
