LOCATION: London Heathrow Airport/Occasional travel to UK Airports

WORK PATTERN: Monday to Sunday – 5 on 2 off, 40 hours per week

REPORTING TO: Head of Security

SALARY: Competitive

The security compliance officer will be responsible for conducting compliance monitoring throughout the security functions in aviation that ABM provides. This involves rotating between different sites on and off airport, observing, assessing, and coaching agents to ensure they complete their roles to government-required standards and, in some cases, airline standards. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients within aviation in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Conduct compliance monitoring on and off airport for agents performing security searches.
2. Conduct covert testing on security searches.
3. Collate monitoring data and perform data analysis on findings.
4. Generate reports from data and identify trends for the Head of Security.
5. Generate data from covert testing.
6. Become an expert on all security searches.
7. Coach and retrain agents in security search procedures.
8. Observe all areas where security searches are conducted (catering, secure clean, man guarding, etc.).
9. Manage all data effectively.
10. Build effective relationships with operational teams and agents.
11. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
12. Support the Head of Security and operational team during inspections and audits as required.
13. Provide leadership and motivation to frontline agents.
14. Extract insights from reports and collaborate with the Head of Security on corrective actions.
15. Understand regulatory requirements and approaches.
16. Work closely with the Training Team to maintain knowledge and compliance.
17. Lead investigations for missed test pieces/items.
18. Conduct workshops for agents.
19. Expand covert testing within security functions.
20. Support the development of in-house data analysis and the compliance app.
21. Assist in creating new training materials.
22. Create internal reports on trends related to missed test pieces/items.
23. Develop new initiatives to enhance aviation security.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of operational security in aviation.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Understanding of compliance regulations.
• Ability to attain and retain an airside pass, including counter-terrorist checks.
• Good communication skills and adaptability to change.
• Driving license (manual and automatic).
