Job Title: Commissioning Engineer ~ Fire & Security Systems

Mission: To work with the Projects Team delivering large scale Fire, Access Control & CCTV Systems.

There is an opportunity to move into a more senior role as a Project Engineer assisting the Project Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Commission Fire, Access Control & CCTV Systems.
• Inspect Fire, Access Control & CCTV Systems for compliance to current British Standards.
• Assist Design Team with Fire, Access Control & CCTV system new projects or amendments.
• Identify & document any non-compliances.
• Compile & issue commissioning documentation & drawings.

Skills and attributes:

• Full understanding of BS5839 Part 1:2017.
• Preferable holder of FIA training certification.
• CSCS skills card holder, preferably SSSTS certificate.
• Role requires vetting for issue of airport airside pass.
• Understanding of IT network fundamentals.
• Ability to fault find on large multi panel networked fire systems.
• Ability to identify issues that may cause project delays.
• Must be able to work with a team to deliver large projects within limited time scale restraints.

Education:

• Preferable but not essential, electrically qualified.
• Proven experience within the Fire & Security industry.
• Good Secondary School Education.
