Job summary

Sodexo Justice Services, at HMP Addiewell in West Lothian, seeks a Maintenance Plumber to join the facilities team. The role offers £37,000–£39,000 per year for a 37.5-hour week, plus the requirement to participate in an on-call rota and secure clearance.

You will repair and maintain mechanical and water systems, document work, and work with contractors while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 Plumbing/Mechanical required.
• Proven experience in water and mechanical installations and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a team-focused attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Full driving licence and ability to pass an enhanced disclosure.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and carrying out preventative maintenance on mechanical and water systems.
• Maintaining plumbing fixtures and completing scheduled servicing.
• Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Working alongside and escorting specialist contractors.
• Participating in the on-call rota and responding to emergencies.
• Working safely in line with trade standards, regulations and Sodexo policies.
