Job summary

Sodexo Justice Services, at HMP Addiewell in West Lothian, seeks a Maintenance Plumber to join the facilities team. The role offers £37,000–£39,000 per year for a 37.5-hour week, plus the requirement to participate in an on-call rota and secure clearance.

You will repair and maintain mechanical and water systems, document work, and work with contractors while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 Plumbing/Mechanical required.
• Proven experience in water and mechanical installations and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a team-focused attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Full driving licence and ability to pass an enhanced disclosure.

Maintenance Plumber - HMP Addiewell

HMP Addiewell, West Lothian
£37,000 - £39,000
37.5 hours per week

Please note this role requires to agree to undergo a security clearance.

Sodexo Justice Services is looking for an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join the facilities team at HMP Addiewell.

You'll be responsible for:

• Repairing and carrying out preventative maintenance on mechanical and water systems

• Maintaining plumbing fixtures and completing scheduled servicing

• Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records

• Working alongside and escorting specialist contractors

• Participating in the on-call rota and responding to emergencies

• Working safely and in line with relevant trade standards, regulations and Sodexo policies

What you'll need

• SVQ Level 3 Plumbing/Mechanical

• Proven experience in water/mechanical installations and maintenance

• Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

• Previous experience in a similar role

• Full driving licence

• Ability to pass an enhanced disclosure

Desirable: Gas Safe (CCN1/COCN1), Emergency First Aid, PASMA/IPAF.
