Job summary

Sodexo Justice Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join the facilities team at HMP Addiewell in West Lothian. The role is 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £37,000–£39,000 and requires the ability to obtain security clearance.

You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on water and mechanical systems, service plumbing fixtures, maintain records, work with specialist contractors, and participate in the on-call rota to provide 24/7 support while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 Plumbing/Mechanical completed.
• Experience in water/mechanical installations and maintenance.
• Full driving licence.
• Enhanced disclosure required.
• Gas Safe (CCN1/COCN1) and related qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and preventative maintenance on water and mechanical systems.
• Maintaining plumbing fixtures and completing servicing.
• Keeping accurate maintenance records.
• Working alongside and escorting specialist contractors.
• Participating in the on-call rota and responding to emergencies.
• Working safely and in line with Sodexo policies and relevant standards.
