About the role:

As a Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining, governing, and evolving Malvern Panalytical's enterprise security architecture across IT, cloud, digital, and operational technology (OT) environments.

Acting as the central security design authority, you will ensure that security is embedded by design and by default, applying key principles such as Zero Trust, least privilege, and defence in depth. You will help shape scalable and resilient security architectures that protect our technology landscape while enabling business growth and innovation.

Working closely with engineering, cloud, digital, operations, and business stakeholders, you will bridge the gap between security strategy, architecture, and delivery. • Provide architectural leadership, challenge, and assurance across strategic technology initiatives and major design decisions
  • Lead and contribute to architecture reviews, risk assessments, and governance activities to identify and address security risks early
  • Shape and evolve target-state security architecture roadmaps, driving continuous improvement and innovation
  • Influence stakeholders across engineering, cloud, digital, and operational teams to embed security into everyday delivery practices
  • Balance technical depth, strategic objectives, and business priorities to enable secure technology transformation
  • Contribute to strengthening Malvern Panalytical's overall security posture while maintaining robust governance and control frameworks
About you:
  • Experience in Security Architecture, Senior Security Engineering, or a similar enterprise security leadership role
  • Strong understanding of cloud, identity, network, application, and/or data security principles
  • Experience applying security-by-design methodologies and Zero Trust concepts within complex environments
  • Knowledge of security governance, risk management, and architecture assurance processes
  • Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modelling exercises, and risk assessments
  • Ability to develop security standards, frameworks, and architectural patterns that can be adopted across multiple teams
