Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland seeks an AI Engineer to develop and optimise AI agents and LLM-powered applications that enhance the Security Operations Centre (SOC). You will work with security engineers and SOC analysts to design, build and operate AI workflows integrated with security tooling.

You will bring hands-on production experience with LLMs, RAG and safeguard measures, plus strong Python and REST API skills to create scalable, secure AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents or LLM-powered applications in production environments.
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI or similar.
• Strong understanding of LLM concepts and vector databases, including context windows, temperature and sampling parameters.
• Experience implementing RAG pipelines end-to-end, including data ingestion, chunking strategies, embedding model selection and retrieval tuning.
• Experience implementing parsing pipelines for tasks such as document processing and ingestion.
• Knowledge of AI security risks, including OWASP LLM Top 10, and mitigation approaches.
• Experience working within enterprise governance frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with common AI/ML libraries.
• Ability to build custom tools that interact with LLMs.
• Strong REST API understanding and integration with third-party platforms.
• Collaborative, self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Configure, evaluate and tune large language models for security use cases, including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Design, build and maintain AI agents and workflows with security toolsets such as SOAR, SIEM and EDR.
• Implement safeguards against adversarial inputs and jailbreak attempts.
• Architect modular, scalable AI solutions following secure development principles.
• Operate within AI governance framework for data handling, logging and compliance.
• Monitor LLM API usage and optimise costs with caching and tiering.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts to understand operational challenges and iterate solutions.
• Produce clear technical documentation for ongoing management of capabilities.
