Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking an Analyst to join its Capital Markets team in the UK. You will work on securitisation facilities, perform financial modelling, analyse large data sets, and assist in investor engagement and reporting.

The role offers exposure to complex debt facilities and a pathway to learn within a fast-growing energy fintech environment. You should have 1–3 years in Capital Markets (or related fields), strong Excel skills, and a basic understanding of SQL.

Qualifications

• A degree in Finance or related discipline.
• 1–3 years work or internship experience in Capital Markets or related fields is preferred.
• Strong numeracy with ability to translate data into clear spreadsheets and presentations.
• Proficient in spreadsheets; basic SQL knowledge to query data.

Responsibilities

• Support securitisation facilities management and investor engagement.
• Perform financial modelling and data analysis on large datasets.
• Contribute to transaction reporting, asset performance forecasting, and monitoring trigger levels.
• Prepare high-quality spreadsheets and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the team to align capital markets activities with the company growth agenda.
