Job summary

Octopus Electric Vehicles is expanding its Capital Markets team in London. As an Analyst, you will gain hands-on exposure to debt facilities and securitisation, learning how to structure and manage capital for a rapidly growing leasing business.

You will support the team with financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting for funders, while collaborating across the business to align capital markets activities with growth plans.

Qualifications

• A degree: In Finance or related discipline.
• Professional experience: 1 to 3 years in Capital Markets, Banking or Debt Advisory preferable.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate datasets into clear spreadsheets/presentations.
• Technical aptitude with strong data skills; SQL knowledge to query large-scale data.
• Proactivity and willingness to learn new financial structures in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication to present analysis to stakeholders.
• Mission-focused to support capital markets funding for a climate-focused business.

Responsibilities

• Act as the analytical engine of the team, supporting senior members and optimising funding facilities.
• Assist securitisation management, including transition to public markets and engagement with rating agencies/investors.
• Perform financial modelling, market analysis, and work with large data sets.
