Octopus Energy Group is seeking a data analytics professional to join our credit risk team in London. You will work with data to surface insights, build reporting with BI tools, and contribute to decisions that help customers manage their payments.

You’ll collaborate with Finance, Ops and Tech, applying SQL to analyse consumer-facing data and drive smarter risk decisions. We value autonomy, learning, and impact across our renewable energy mission.

Qualifications

• Excellent SQL skills.
• A drive to solve problems using data.
• 2-5 years experience in data analytics in a consumer-facing business.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of customers struggling with their payments.
• Deep dive data to surface insights for decisions.
• Develop our BI reporting suite with the latest tools.
• Foster empathic approaches toward vulnerable customers.
• Identify and prevent fraud.
• Develop ML models and risk policies.
• Identify new areas of opportunity.
• Challenge KPIs, objectives and strategy.
• Communicate complex data concepts clearly.
• Build strong relationships with Collections, Ops, Tech, and Finance.
