Job summary

Faculty is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to shape technical strategy, architecture, and deployment of secure AI systems. You will bridge AI research and production, setting engineering standards and delivering scalable ML infrastructure at scale.

Working with Frontier Labs, you will mentor teams, evaluate model capabilities, and guide cross-functional partners in building trusted AI solutions while upholding safety and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience designing, deploying, and securing scalable LLM apps and AI safety eval.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with advanced Python for enterprise systems.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, GCP; scalable cloud architectures and security.
• Expertise in full ML lifecycle and production systems with PyTorch/TF.
• Thrives in fast-growing environments with strategic ownership.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Steering technical strategy, system architecture, and rigorous capability testing for complex ML systems and Frontier AI models.
• Architecting production-grade, secure ML software, orchestration tools, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Establishing company-wide standards and best practices for safe, reliable, and ethical ML deployment at scale.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders to translate high-impact client needs into resilient AI solutions.
• Advising senior clients and partners as a trusted AI safety and technical authority.
• Mentoring and developing engineering talent, elevating team capabilities and nurturing an inclusive culture.
• Partnering with Frontier Labs to advance safety evaluation procedures and robust AI governance frameworks.
