Job summary

Greencore Spalding is seeking a Section Leader for the Blue Nights shift to manage and coordinate all activities in the deli production area. You will lead a team, ensure safety and quality, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining product standards across three manufacturing facilities and a distribution centre.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will shape staffing, monitor performance, complete handovers, and collaborate with other functions to meet daily production plans, while

• Walk the floor to manage start-up procedures, handover from the previous shift, and balance labour in production areas.
• Conduct Return to Work interviews, attend daily review meetings and team briefings.
• Challenge area performance on quality, throughput, and crew size; audit daily technical paperwork.
• Document handovers for the next shift and ensure packing area is clean and safe.
• Review productivity and losses to identify improvement opportunities and drive delivery of plans.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to a Production Manager, you will manage, organise and control all activities within the factory. You will assign and organise staff alongside managing productivity and performance ensuring the achievement of the required service levels and performance results.

Accountabilities:

• You will walk the floor of the production area and manage start-up procedures, receiving a handover from the previous shift and ensuring there is no excess or shortage of labour in the production areas.
• Complete Return to Work interviews, attend daily review meetings and team briefings.
• Constructively challenge performance of area – quality, throughput rate and crew size.
• Effectively audit daily technical paperwork.
• Document handover for oncoming shift and ensure packing area is left in a clean and safe condition.
• Review Productivity and NME Losses Graph to identify opportunities for improvement
• Identify performance management / training requirements within the area and manage the process / delivery
• An ability to work to Safety & Quality standards, with the ability to work with other functions to deliver the days production plans.
