Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a Section Foreman for a major heavy civils project near Peterhead. Immediate start on a 4-month contract with potential extension. You will lead a team including Gangers, direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality across earthworks, drainage and reinforced concrete works.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, valid CSCS/SMSTS/First Aid, and flexibility to work varying hours, including nights or weekends as the project demands.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Excellent communication skills and team leadership are essential.
• Essential valid site certificates: CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert supervision of works and manage a team of Gangers, direct labour and subcontractors.
• Lead daily short interval control meetings with site supervisors and contribute to Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments.
• Promote a Right First Time culture within the supply chain and conduct QA using BIM field 360.
• Validate labour and plant records against project cost-control procedures and review small tools and plant lists weekly.
• Ensure the workforce has correct information on specifications and identify hazards to implement safe controls.
• Support delivery of sustainability activities and suggest improvements for Temporary Works solutions.
