Job summary

Kier Group in the UK is seeking a Section Engineer to join the Southern Water Lot 1 (Clean) and Lot 2 (Waste Water) teams, based at Falmer, Chatham, Chichester. You will support design compliance, safety, schedule and budget across AMP8 and beyond, from Needs Definition to Commissioning and Handover.

You will manage site engineers, produce short-term programmes, review 'as-built' drawings, and oversee safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant qualification such as a Management qualification, NVQ Level 3, HNC or Degree.
• CAT 4: Genny and CAT training, and EUSR Water Hygiene (Dirty Water) certification are required.
• Flexibility to work at various sites/offices across the Southern Water territory.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring construction records are completed, including 'as-built' drawings and Inspection and Test Records.
• Providing engineering support to technical problems and checking setting out works are within tolerances.
• Supporting the preparation of access and safety documentation during preconstruction and overseeing site surveys.
• Preparing and communicating short term programmes and schedules for your section of work.
• Managing and supervising site engineers while participating in Daily Task Briefings and Short Interval Control meetings.
