Senior Construction Manager – Water Projects

Job summary

Kier Group in East Sussex is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Southern Framework, delivering on the Southern Water contract with strong leadership. This role is based in East Sussex with 40 hours per week.

You will oversee pre-construction through detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of Lot 2 projects and collaborating with internal teams and the client to meet programme objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading construction projects in regulated water sectors.
• Strong understanding of design and pre-construction to handover processes.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Being accountable for efficient delivery and SHEWS performance of Lot 2 projects in the region.
• Collaborate with preconstruction team and project managers to identify risks and develop delivery proposals.
• Provide buildability input to design teams during design phase.
• Establish temporary works requirements with operations and liaise with designers to factor time and cost into target costs.
• Coordinate with Southern Water Capital Delivery and other client stakeholders to agree proposed target costs.
