Job summary

Kier Group in Reading / Oxford (Thames Valley Central) is seeking a Section Engineer to join the Thames Water WAAP Programme. You will provide technical and supervisory input on site, setting out infrastructure locations and ensuring work complies with designs and plans.

Responsibilities include managing survey controls, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, and maintaining quality and safety across fast-paced design & build teams. Driving licence, CSCS and SMSTS are essential.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence, CSCS Card and SMSTS Card required.
• Experience in civil engineering or construction, Water sector preferred.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as main technical adviser on construction sites for subcontractors and operatives.
• Manage survey controls, set gridlines and conduct levelling activities.
• Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and planners to keep projects moving.
• Oversee quality, health & safety and resolve technical issues.
