Job summary

BMDIs UK, part of the BMD Group, seeks a Section Engineer for our UK projects. This site-based role requires managing junior engineers and assisting the Sub-Agent in construction operations, with emphasis on safety, quality and collaborative teamwork.

Applicants must be capable of travelling and staying away throughout the week and have 4+ years of site experience with Civil Engineering qualifications. Strong IT skills including AutoCAD 3D and MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• 4+ years of site experience, including setting out.

Responsibilities

• Regular communication and reporting to stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and coordination of subcontractors.
• Allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
• Assist with production of programmes, progress reports, material procurement, resource and cost plans.
• Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent.
• Conduct site evaluations and develop Health & Safety and Quality documentation, provide technical expertise and prepare reports.
• People management including junior engineers, site engineers, sub contractors and operatives.
