Job summary

Involve Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Section Engineer / Civil Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a five-year South Wales framework.

You will support the delivery of major infrastructure and wastewater projects, coordinating with Site Managers, Supervisors and Project Engineers to ensure quality and on-time performance. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, site experience on heavy civil projects, and a proactive, safety-focused approach within a

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Previous site-based experience within a civil engineering or structural environment.
• Experience working on heavy civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• A good understanding of construction processes, engineering standards and site procedures.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety, QA/QC and Environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality (QA/QC) requirements across site activities.
• Support the day-to-day management and delivery of construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
• Undertake setting out and engineering duties where required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant engineering standards.
• Work collaboratively with Site Managers, Supervisors, Project Engineers and wider site teams to maintain progress and resolve technical or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, inspection records and compliance documentation.
• Monitor works against drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Assist with planning, coordination and monitoring of site activities.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects throughout the five-year South Wales framework.
