Job summary

Involve Recruitment Ltd. are supporting a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor to recruit two Section Engineers for a five-year South Wales framework.

The roles are based on-site across wastewater and major infrastructure projects, offering exposure to high-profile developments and a structured, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality (QA/QC) requirements across site activities.
• Support the day-to-day management and delivery of construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
• Undertake setting out and engineering duties where required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant engineering standards.
• Work collaboratively with Site Managers, Supervisors, Project Engineers and wider site teams to maintain progress and resolve technical or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, inspection records and compliance documentation.
• Assist with planning, coordination and monitoring of site activities.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects throughout the five-year South Wales framework.

We are currently working with a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor with an established track record of delivering major UK infrastructure projects.

The business is currently delivering a long-term, five-year framework across South Wales, undertaking major infrastructure projects and upgrades across predominantly wastewater assets throughout the region. As a result of continued project growth, they are looking to appoint two Section Engineers to join their project delivery teams. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to build their experience on significant infrastructure projects while working within an established and supportive project environment.

The Role

As a Section Engineer, you will support the project team in the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of works. You will work closely with Site Managers, Supervisors and Project Engineers to ensure activities are delivered to programme, specification and the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality (QA/QC) requirements across site activities.
• Support the day-to-day management and delivery of construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
• Undertake setting out and engineering duties where required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant engineering standards.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Civil Engineer with a genuine interest in working within major infrastructure.

We are looking for:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Previous site-based experience within a civil engineering or structural environment.
• Experience working on heavy civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• A good understanding of construction processes, engineering standards and site procedures.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
