Job summary

Bimplus in Essex is seeking a Section Engineer to support a major infrastructure project. You will help deliver safe, high-quality works and provide leadership to Site Engineers and Apprentices.

Responsibilities include planning lookahead programmes, setting out, QA, ITPs and construction documentation, plus driving lean delivery while ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience on large-scale highways or civil schemes and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably highways or major civil engineering schemes.
• Strong technical and engineering knowledge.
• Experience with setting out, quality assurance, ITPs and construction documentation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Good understanding of construction regulations, standards and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage 3-week lookahead programmes and report progress.
• Produce WPPs, safety tours and project documentation.
• Review designs and resolve technical queries.
• Provide technical coaching and guidance to Site Engineers.
• Manage QA, including ITPs, audits, NCRs and material approvals.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing and lead Site Engineers and Apprentices.
