Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers at Heathrow Airport is seeking a Section Engineer to oversee RC and civils delivery on a high-profile infrastructure package. You will manage self-delivery teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality, programme and safety objectives are met.

The role involves setting out, coordinating subcontractors, reviewing drawings, RAMS, ITPs, and providing technical guidance in a live airport environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as Section Engineer or ready to step up as Site Engineer.
• Proven background delivering RC structures and major civils works.
• Experience managing subcontractors and self-delivered works.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of reinforced concrete, groundworks, and structural packages.
• Manage setting out and engineering control activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor site progress.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Support design coordination, including interfaces.
• Assist with planning, sequencing and resource management.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to high quality.
• Prepare and review RAMS, ITPs and project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and junior engineers.
