Job summary
Balfour Beatty plc in the North West region is seeking a Section Engineer to support delivery of high-quality civil engineering projects.
In this role you will set out, supervise site teams, review drawings and coordinate with subcontractors and designers to ensure programmes, budgets and quality targets are met. A strong background in civil engineering and health and safety is essential.
Qualifications
- BSc/HND in Civil Engineering.
- Experience as Section Engineer or Site Engineer in civil/construction.
- Experience on infrastructure, highways, earthworks or structures.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Support the Site Agent and Project Manager in delivering your section of works.
- Manage engineering and technical aspects of construction activities.
- Set out and provide technical guidance to site teams.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information for correctness.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, designers and stakeholders.
- Ensure works align with programme, budget and quality requirements.
- Complete and maintain inspection and test plans and quality records.
- Identify technical issues and develop effective solutions.
