Job summary

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) is recruiting a Section 5 Officer for Homelessness Services based at 44 South Portland Street, Glasgow. This temporary role focuses on reducing homelessness through housing option assessments, information, and support, contributing to the Section 5 process.

You will help manage the Section 5 MI Database (I-World), liaise with partner organisations, and work with colleagues across GCHSCP and external partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of homelessness issues and legislation is essential.
• SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or HNC or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the qualification.
• PVG Scheme membership is essential on appointment and may require the candidate to pay for checks.

Responsibilities

• Minimise homelessness by delivering high-quality housing option assessments, information and support.
• Support the Section 5 process within Homelessness Casework Services and manage the Section 5 MI Database (I-World).
• Liaise with partner organisations within and outside of the Council family as part of the homelessness prevention strategy.
